February 5, 2010,
It had been a long time since I last visited my cooperating school for my FS observation. I almost miss my students in Grade 2, their naughtiness and their childish questions. Speaking of childish questions, last Feb. 5, 2010 when I went to Villahermosa, a girl came to me and ask a question. Actually, they are having their examination during that time since it was Friday. She got confused in one of the questions in the test paper. There was a mathematical problem being asked. The question ask for what is asked in the problem. In the past, the teacher just tell the students that the last statement in the problem answers the "What is asked" question. But in the choices, the correct answer is in letter A but there's a sudden grammatical change.
In this incident, I've gone into a conclusion that critical thinking was not developed in the child. Of course, the teacher has something to do. She should not let the just memorize the actual answer. Instead, let them think in a critical way by helping the pupils come out to the expectations.
